Zahoor Ahmed, Vice President of MIE Group, and Mahmoud LATIFI, Director of MIE Morocco, recently met with representatives of the Moroccan Association of Automotive Industries and Buildings (AMICA) to have in-depth exchanges on the development of the new energy vehicle industry, manufacturing expansion and supply chain cooperation. THE TALKS LAID THE GROUNDWORK FOR COOPERATION AT THE AFRICA EV MOBILITY EXPO MOROCCO, WHICH WILL BE HELD IN CASABLANCA IN NOVEMBER 2025.

As a major automotive manufacturing center in Africa, Morocco has made great strides in the field of new energy in recent years. Since its establishment in 1974, AMICA has been actively promoting automobile manufacturing, parts production and technological innovation. With rich mineral resources and government support, Morocco has attracted more than 260 automobile manufacturing enterprises, and the automotive industry has contributed 22% of GDP and exports of 12.9 billion euros.

With the introduction of policies related to key raw materials by the European Union and the United States, Morocco is becoming an important bridge for Chinese companies to enter the European and American markets. The Moroccan government provides foreign investment subsidies of up to 35%, creating an attractive investment environment for new energy vehicle manufacturers. The 2025 exhibition is expected to attract more than 130 exhibitors and 20,000 professional visitors, building an efficient docking platform for the global new energy vehicle industry. MIE Group will continue to deepen cooperation with AMICA and other institutions to jointly promote the prosperity and development of Morocco's new energy vehicle industry.
